No Tricks, Just Treats!
November 3, 2022
Warm sun, colorful leaves, and the sound of one happy turkey could all be found at Heritage of Hudson on Saturday. The first annual Trunk-or-Treat event was held on Saturday, October 29th from 1-4 PM, and folks are already looking forward to attending again next year! Staff, families, and community members all gathered together to celebrate Halloween with trick-or-treating through all the fun displays and visiting the petting zoo.
Heritage staff and volunteers proudly showed off their creativity with trunks decorated like Jaws, Hocus Pocus, "Coming to America" and more. Guests voted on their favorite trunk, and “Coming to America” took home the top prize, closely followed by Hocus Pocus. Several residents volunteered to help pass out candy, and even more came to watch all of the action! Lots of trick-or-treaters came dressed in very creative and adorable costumes. There was plenty of candy to go around and everyone had a marvelous time!

The Barn Yard Petting Zoo wow-ed the crowd with its animal-filled trailer. Everyone of all ages, from one to one hundred, was able to get up close and pet all of the animals, including a tortoise, pygmy goats, calf, bunnies, sheep, pig, and even a turkey. This event couldn’t have happened without the support of our families, community, and the Heritage of Hudson staff. Thank you all for your hard work!
