A Rockin’ Tribute to Our January Employee of the Month

At Heritage of Hudson, we believe in celebrating not just exceptional work but also the heart and creativity that our team members bring to our community. Chad, one of our amazing STNAs and just so happens to be our January Employee of the Month, shared an idea that perfectly embodied our core value: "Make a difference…every day."

Chad approached Emily, our Activity Director, with a heartfelt request—he wanted to sing for our residents. As a talented musician and band member, Chad had never performed for the residents before and felt inspired to share his love of music with them.

Emily embraced the idea and suggested a performance in January to celebrate Elvis’s birthday. Chad didn’t just agree—he went all in. He prepared a setlist of Elvis classics and even crafted his very own bedazzled Elvis costume to make the day unforgettable.

On January 8th, Elvis’s actual birthday, excitement filled the air as residents gathered in the activity room to sip on peanut butter and banana milkshakes—an Elvis favorite. Chad playfully started the show by pretending he couldn’t sing and needed to “get his friend.” Moments later, “Elvis” made his grand entrance, and the room erupted with cheers and laughter.

The performance was electric. Residents clapped, sang along, and fully immersed themselves in the moment. “I’ve never seen the residents so engaged in a performance!” said Lisa, our Activity Assistant. ChElvis, as he’s now affectionately called, delivered a concert that left everyone smiling, proving just how talented and thoughtful he is.

But Chad isn’t just an incredible entertainer—he’s also a fantastic STNA. One resident shared that Chad always treats him with the utmost respect, a testament to his kind and compassionate nature.

Chad’s initiative to share his talents and his unwavering dedication to our residents exemplify what it means to make a difference every day. We are so grateful to have Chad as part of our Heritage of Hudson family. Congratulations on being named January Employee of the Month, Chad—thank you for all you do!
