Celebrating the 100th Birthday of Doris Brooks

"The Bingo Queen" turned 100 years old today and the Heritage of Hudson team threw her a big birthday party! 

Doris Brooks, a resident at Heritage of Hudson, not only celebrated her 100th birthday today, but she did it with her Heritage of Hudson family, both residents and caregivers. The room was filled with a large cake, balloons, and flowers, and the smooth tunes of "The Flashbaxx Duo" who played live music at the event and sang Happy Birthday to Doris. Further decorations in the room were champagne bottles filled with Doris's favorite candy - M&Ms. 

This was the first 100th Birthday party at Heritage of Hudson since 2019. Administrator Karen Ginder called Fox News and they did a shout out to Doris.

Doris grew up in Woodsfield in Monroe County and now lives at Heritage of Hudson. She has lived at the facility for more than 2 years. She's known to bring smiles to all the staff at Heritage of Hudson. Doris is also known as "The Bingo Queen" because she NEVER misses a game of Bingo! She is also known to wear a bedazzled shirt that "I love Bingo!"!
