Happy Activity Professionals Week!

Hudson, Ohio - January 19th to January 25 is activity professionals week. It's a week where we highlight and thank the hard work, dedication, and pride our activities professionals bring to Heritage of Hudson each and every day. We are so fortunate to have a team of loving, compassionate, and fun people to lead the activity programming for our residents! We would like to take a special moment to thank and introduce you to our Activity Team!
Our Activity Director, Samantha Hazelbaker, has been with Heritage for almost five years. Her favorite thing about her job is having the opportunity to learn about our residents' past and hearing all their life stories. Sam has extensive knowledge of the residents' past occupations, hobbies, and leisure pursuits that allows our team to provide a truly person-centered care approach!
Loraine Denison, our activity assistant, has been with Heritage for almost five years as well. Her favorite thing about her job is providing fun activities with the residents and having fun with them. Loraine loves leading the monthly crafts with the residents, where residents make and display their own crafts throughout the halls of Heritage of Hudson!
Emily Campbell, our Activity Assistant, has been with Heritage for almost a year now. Her favorite thing about her job is all of her residents. She really enjoys brining her background in music therapy into activity programming. She has started a resident choir, "The Heritage Singers," and leads quarterly concerts for the residents and families!
Every month, Heritage of Hudson, and all other skilled nursing facilities of our parent company Foundations Health, distribute original activity calendars for the upcoming month in which all of the multiple activities each day derive from the recreational choices of each individual resident. The fulltime certified activities director and additional activities staff offer events seven days per week, 365 days per year, during both mornings and evenings. Activities at Heritage of Hudson vary each month from bingo, movie nights, crafts, live musicians, and trips to local shopping centers and restaurants. Come out to Heritage of Hudson and see our activity staff in action!
